Learn how to use Jamf School App Installers to distribute third-party macOS apps to managed computers without additional packaging steps.
Jamf School App Installers enable IT admins to distribute third-party macOS applications to managed computers, eliminating the need for manual packaging. Before deploying apps, admins must accept the App Installers terms and conditions under Organization > Settings and enable the feature. Once enabled, admins can browse the available catalog, add apps such as Dropbox, and assign deployments to device groups. The app installs automatically the next time a scoped device checks in with Jamf School. Note that Jamf School cannot remotely uninstall apps deployed via App Installers; any app removed from the App Installers library will remain on previously enrolled devices until removed manually.
