Learn how to use the Restrictions configuration profile payload in Jamf Pro to disable Apple Intelligence features, including Genmoji, Image Playground, Image Wand, and Writing Tools, on managed Mac computers and mobile devices.
Apple Intelligence features, including Genmoji, Image Playground, Image Wand, and Writing Tools, are now available on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, and organizations may need to restrict them before broad deployment to validate behavior in a controlled environment. In Jamf Pro, Apple Intelligence can be disabled on computers by creating a Configuration Profile with the Restrictions payload, navigating to the Functionality tab, and deselecting the checkbox for each feature. For mobile devices, a separate Configuration Profile targeting the Restrictions > Functionality payload allows admins to restrict the same features using the Restrict setting for each. Scoping each profile to All Computers or All Mobile Devices deploys the restrictions fleet-wide, and features can be re-enabled at any time by removing devices from the profile's scope.
