Learn how to create an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) certificate for the first time and upload it to Jamf Now to enable device enrollment and management.

Before you can enroll and manage Apple devices with Jamf Now, you must integrate with the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) by creating and uploading a push certificate. This video walks through the complete first-time setup: downloading the Certificate Signing Request (.plist) from Jamf Now, signing in to the Apple Push Certificates Portal, uploading the CSR under Vendor-Signed Certificate Signing Request to generate a push certificate (.pem file), and uploading that certificate back into Jamf Now. It is strongly recommended to use a generic, institutionally-owned Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) because that same Apple Account must be used every year to renew the certificate.
