Hi there! Let's go through a quick walkthrough of how to renew a Jamf Connect license file in Jamf Pro. To start, navigate to Computers > Configuration Profiles. Find your previously created Jamf Connect license configuration profile. Next, select the Application & Custom Settings payload on the left and then click Jamf Applications. Click Edit in the bottom-right corner. Let's clear the License File field to make room for the new license. If you have more than one License File field, be sure to clear all of them. With our configuration profile ready, let's open a new tab or browser window and go to account.jamf.com. Once you've logged in with a Jamf ID that's associated with your Jamf products, navigate to Solutions in the sidebar on the left. Find Jamf Connect, and then click View details. On the right, we have the option to Download license file or Copy license content to clipboard. Below that we can see the number of licenses we have and their expiration date. It's important to note that when you're renewing a Jamf Connect license, it's possible the license file and expiration date won't be updated until the renewal date. With this in mind, be sure that you're copying your new license, not your old one, before moving on. Don't worry about deploying the new information a day or two past the expiration date. As long as computers have Jamf Connect 2.43 or later, there is a built in 14-day grace period for the new license information to be updated on the device to retain functionality. It looks like my license file is ready to go, so let's click Copy license content to clipboard. Once the license has been copied, return to Jamf Pro. Paste the copied key into any License File fields, and then click Save in the bottom-right corner. When prompted with Redistribution Options, ensure Distribute to All is selected so computers with the previous license get the updated profile, and then click Save. Now as the devices in scope connect with Jamf Pro, their license files are updated to the latest version. Thanks for watching!
