Requirements

  • A Jamf ID

    To create a Jamf ID, go to Jamf Account.

  • The following Jamf Pro user account privilege:
    CategoryPrivilege
    Jamf Pro Server SettingsJamf Pro Server Objects (Update)
    Patch External Sources (Create)
    Patch Management (Read and Update)
  1. In Jamf Pro, click Settings in the sidebar.
  2. In the Computer management section, click Patch management .
  3. Click Setup to set up a Title Editor instance.
    Important:

    Steps 3-5 of this workflow can only be performed once when the first user creates the primary admin account. If you create the primary Title Editor admin account for your organization, you can login and create additional user accounts by navigating to Settings > User Accounts. Make your organization aware that you are the primary Title Editor administrator, as all instances of Jamf Pro owned by your organization will be linked to this Title Editor tenant.

  4. Click the "Title Editor Instance" link. You are redirected to Title Editor to create your first Title Editor account.
    Note:

    If you navigate away from the Account Creation page or do not complete the process within five minutes, you must delete the Title Editor instance from Patch External Source and begin the process from the beginning.

  5. Enter the required information to create your account, and then click Finish. You are redirected to the Title Editor Login page.
  6. Log in to Title Editor.
  7. Navigate to Settings > SMTP Server to configure an SMTP server. For more information, see Configuring SMTP Server Settings.
