Device compliance for shared devices requires the following applications to be installed on the end user device:

  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Jamf Setup 3.3.1
  • Jamf Reset 3.3.0

Additionally, the following configurations are required for Jamf Setup and Jamf Reset:

  • Registration with Microsoft Azure must be required. The com.jamf.config.sso.require-device-registration key must be set to true. This configuration is available for 3.3.1 or later. For more information, see Managed App Configuration for Jamf Setup in the Jamf Setup and Reset Configuration Guide.

  • Identity provider settings. For more information, see Managed App Configuration for Jamf Reset in the Jamf Setup and Reset Configuration Guide.

  • Jamf Reset also requires Soft Reset to be enabled. For more information, see Integrating with Microsoft Entra ID in the Jamf Setup and Reset Configuration Guide.

The device compliance integration with Jamf Pro can have both the iOS/iPadOS and the shared devices platforms enabled at the same time. If a device is in the applicable groups of both platform types, it will be registered with shared devices.
