Preparing to Upgrade

Make sure MySQL 8.0 supports your database server platform. For more information, see the following documentation from MySQL: https://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/database.html

Check if there are any outstanding known issues with MySQL 8.0 that would be relevant to your environment. For more information, see the following documentation from MySQL: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-reslimits-excerpt/8.0/en/known-issues.html

If you are preparing to install Jamf Pro 10.10.0 or later, you will need to ensure that the MySQL database is using the InnoDB storage engine. If you are upgrading to Jamf Pro 10.10.0 or later, you may need to perform an incremental upgrade. For more information, see the Incremental Upgrade Scenarios for Jamf Pro 10.0.0 or Later article.
