Beginning with Jamf Infrastructure Manager 2.5.0, Java 17 is required for server environments. You will need to ensure your Infrastructure Manager server is running one of the supported distributions of Java 17 before upgrading to Jamf Infrastructure Manager 2.5.0 or later. When you are ready to upgrade, you can migrate to a supported distribution of Java 17 on your Infrastructure Manager server. This migration consists of the following steps:

  1. Stopping the Jamf Infrastructure Manager service

  2. Uninstalling Java 11

  3. Installing Java 17

  4. Updating the Jamf Infrastructure Manager service
