You can migrate computers enrolled via Automated Device Enrollment from Jamf Now to Jamf Pro. Computers enrolled via Automated Device Enrollment have non-removable MDM profiles, which requires them to be unmanaged directly from the Jamf Now dashboard.

Requirements

(Optional) Computers assigned to a PreStage enrollment in Jamf Pro. For more information on PreStage enrollments, see Automated Device Enrollment for Computers in the Jamf Pro Documentation.

  1. In Jamf Now, click Devices.
  2. For each computer you want to migrate to Jamf Pro, navigate to the computer's device dashboard, and then click on the Action pop-up menu (•••) in the top-right corner and select Unenroll device.
  3. Click Unenroll.

The MDM profile is removed from the computer.

  4. Enroll the computer with Jamf Pro. For more information on enrolling computers with Jamf Pro, see Enrollment with Jamf Pro in the Jamf Pro Documentation.
    Note:

To enroll a computer that is currently in a PreStage enrollment in Jamf Pro without wiping it, open Terminal and execute the follow command: sudo profiles renew -type enrollment.

The selected computers are unmanaged from Jamf Now and enrolled with Jamf Pro.
