The Jamf plug-in for Microsoft Copilot for Security allows you to integrate Jamf Pro 10.49.0 or later with Microsoft Copilot for Security, a generative AI-powered solution that streamlines how security analysts access data, facilitating seamless collaboration between IT and Security teams.

Jamf's plug-in allows you to query endpoint inventory records and retrieve information about enrolled computers via Microsoft Copilot for Security's chat user interface. For example, you may choose to query the following insights for a specific computer using its serial number:
  • Does the Mac [serial number] have any suspicious applications installed?

  • What are all the user accounts on Mac [serial number] and what are their privilege levels?

  • Get complete inventory details for Mac serial number [serial number].

  • Show hardware and security configuration for the Mac with serial number [serial number].

  • List all installed applications on Mac [serial number].

  • Check FileVault status for Mac [serial number].

  • What are the firewall settings on Mac [serial number]?

Integrating Jamf Pro with Microsoft Copilot for Security involves the following steps:

  1. In Jamf Pro, configure an API role and client. For more information, see API Roles and Clients in the Jamf Pro Documentation.

  2. Assign a role to the API client that has the "Read Computers" privilege.

  3. Copy the client ID, client secret, and required scopes (scope number).

  4. Configure the Jamf plug-in within Microsoft Copilot for Security.

For detailed instructions on setting up the Jamf plug-in for Microsoft Copilot for Security, see Jamf and Microsoft Copilot for Security in Microsoft's documentation.
