Creating a Folder as a File Share

- Open File Explorer, and then navigate to the folder where you want to create your file share.
- Right-click the folder, and then click .
- Enter a name for your folder, and then press Enter.
- Right-click on the newly created folder, and then click Properties.
- Click the Sharing tab, and then click Share.
- Find and select your previously created read-write account from the pop-up menu.
- Repeat steps 5–6 to select your previously created read-only account.
- Modify the permission level of the read-write account by clicking on the account and selecting Read/Write.
- Click Share, and then click Done.
- Right-click the folder again, and then click Properties.
- Click the Sharing tab, and then click .
- Click Add, and then enter the name of your read-only account.
- Click Check Names, and then click OK.
- Click Add, and then enter the name of your read-write account.
- Click Check Names, and then click OK.
- With the read-write account selected, select the Full Control checkbox.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again, and then click Close.
