  1. In Jamf Pro, click Settings in the sidebar.
  2. In the System section, click LDAP servers .
  3. Click the LDAP server you want to use LDAPS for.
  4. Click Edit .
  5. Select the Use SSL checkbox. Ensure that the fully qualified domain name or URL of your authentication server (the server you are trying to make the connection to) matches the Common Name (CN) or the Subject Alternative Name (SAN).
  6. Upload the certificate using the Upload Certificate button.
    Note:

    Jamf Pro will allow you to upload any certificate if it is in the right format. Make sure to upload the correct certificate. LDAPS requires that the hostname of the LDAP server matches the Common Name (CN) in the certificate being uploaded. A mismatch will prevent communication between the LDAP server and Jamf Pro server.

  7. Under Mappings > User Mappings, enter a User Azure Active Directory ID and click Test. Active Directory should return information about the account such as full name and email address.
  8. Click Save .
  9. Test LDAP attribute mappings to ensure that LDAP over SSL is working:
    1. Click Test.
    2. Click the appropriate tab and enter information in the field(s) provided.
    3. Click Test again.
    4. Repeat steps a-c for each User Group Mappings and User Group Membership Mapping.
