  • If you have not previously deployed Self Service classic, see Self Service+ for Mobile Deployment from Jamf Pro.

  • If you have previously deployed Self Service classic to mobile devices and you have Settings > Device management > App maintenance configured with Automatically force app updates selected in Jamf Pro, you do not need to take further action. Users receive application updates automatically.

  • If you have previously deployed Self Service classic to mobile devices and you do not have Automatically force app updates selected in Jamf Pro, force the update by editing the app record. Go to Devices > Mobile device apps, click Edit, and enable the following settings for Self Service:

    • From the Distribution Method pop-up menu, choose "Install Automatically /Prompt Users to Install".

    • (Optional) Select Automatically force app updates to enable automatic updates of Self Service+ for all users in the scope.

    • Under Force App Update, click Force Update to prompt all devices in the scope to update to the most recent version of Self Service+.

Devices in scope with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later update to Self Service+. Devices with iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 or earlier continue to use Self Service classic.
