Create three smart computer groups prior to scoping the configuration profiles and compliance script for your benchmark. The following example smart computer groups use Sonoma and CIS Benchmark Level 1.

  1. Create the smart computer group Computers with macOS Sonoma.

  2. Create the smart computer group Sonoma_CIS_LVL1_Compliant.

    Compliance - Failed Results Count is0
    1. Use the extension attribute Compliance - Failed Results Count in this smart computer group to calculate its membership.
    2. In the Value field, enter your count threshold considered compliant by your organization.
  3. Create the smart computer group Sonoma_CIS_LVL1_NotCompliant.

    1. Use the extension attribute Compliance - Failed Results Count in this Smart Computer Group to calculate its membership.
    2. In the Value field, enter your count threshold considered compliant by your organization.
