Requirements

iOS or iPadOS devices managed by Jamf Pro

  1. In Jamf Pro, click Devices in the sidebar.
  2. Click Configuration Profiles in the sidebar.
  3. On the Configuration Profiles page, do one of the following:

    • Click New to create a new configuration profile.

    • Select an existing configuration profile and click Edit .

  4. Use the General payload to configure basic settings for the configuration profile:
    1. Set the level to Device Level.
    2. Set the distribution method to Install Automatically.
  5. Configure settings in other payloads as described in the rest of this section.
  6. Click the Scope tab and configure the scope of the profile.
    Note:

    If a user is logged in to an iPad prior to a profile being saved in Jamf Pro, the user must log out and log back in to the iPad for the profile to be installed on the device.

  7. Click Save .

The configuration profile is distributed to the deployment targets in the scope the next time they contact Jamf Pro.
