Lesson Templates for Jamf School
Lessons in Jamf Teacher is now Lesson templates. The user interface has been redesigned, allowing teachers to create lessons more efficiently. The following enhancements have also been added:
Redesigned the Allowed websites, Allowed apps, and Restrictions action screens within Lesson templates.
Added icons to more efficiently add or remove allowed websites, allowed apps, and restrictions.
Introduced a Recently used in section that displays the classes where a lesson template was recently used.
Added a Duplicate button to enable teachers to duplicate lesson templates.
When starting a lesson, teachers can now define how long action screens should be applied. They can also select a class to apply the lesson template to, within the same modal.
Changes and Improvements
Students now receive silent notifications when a remote class starts or stops.
When users click the filled-in Remote class button for an active class, a summary now displays the class or group name, the name of the class, meeting ID, passcode, and options for joining the class, copying the class link, or clearing the class before the configured time elapses.
When Allowed websites are configured, users are now informed that Safari can no longer be removed from the Allowed apps list.
When starting a lesson in an empty class, users are now informed there are no students in the class.
Resolved Issues
When setting a Clear after time, the last configured time now correctly displays in the date picker.
When removing a group, the confirmation modal displays until the user clicks Cancel or Remove.
The Apply button is now enabled only when apps or websites have been added to Allowed apps or Allowed websites.
If a class does not have any students, the student list and action screens are now disabled.
