You can use webhooks to trigger a UEM sync during a device check-in with certain Jamf Pro events.

Requirements

Ensure that your SaaS application has Device management state-based access control enabled to permit the UEM synchronization. For more information, see Adding a New Predefined Application in the Jamf Connect Documentation.

  1. Set up analytic remediation with Jamf Pro in Jamf Protect. For more information, see Setting Up Analytic Remediation with Jamf Pro in the Jamf Protect Documentation.
  2. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Integrations > UEM Connect > Settings.
  3. Under Webhook token, click Create token.
  4. Copy the token.
    Important:

    This is your only chance to copy the token.

  5. In Jamf Pro, create a Header Authentication type webhook using the copied token. For more information on creating a webhook in Jamf Pro, see Webhooks in the Jamf Pro Documentation.
    1. In the Webhook URL field, enter one of the following URLs that is associated with the check-in events.
      SmartGroupMobileDeviceMembershipChange
      https://api.wandera.com/webhook/uem/jamf-pro/v1/device-group-changes
      SmartGroupComputerMembershipChange
      https://api.wandera.com/webhook/uem/jamf-pro/v1/device-group-changes

      For more information on specific webhook events, see Webhooks in the Jamf Developer Portal.

    2. When selecting an event from the Webhook Event pop-up menu, choose one of the following check-in events that are associated with the preceding URLs:

      • SmartGroupMobileDeviceMembershipChange

      • SmartGroupComputerMembershipChange
