  1. In MaaS360, navigate to Setup > Portal Administration > Roles.
  2. Click Add Role.
    Note:

    Jamf recommends naming the new role "Jamf API role" with the description "Role used by Jamf UEM Connect".

  3. Under Mode of Creation, select Create New.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Under Grant Access Rights, select the following permissions, then click Save and re-enter your password when prompted:

    • Apps - Read-only

    • Users - Read-only

    • Distribute Apps

    • Manage Apps

    • App Attributes - All Access

    • Web Services (if available)

    • Change Compliance Rule Set

    • Change Device Policy

    • Device View - Read-only

    • Lock Device

    • Manage Custom Attributes

    • Refresh Device Information

    • Set Custom Attribute Value

    • View Custom Attributes

    • Manage Groups

    • View Groups

    • View Private Groups

    • Manage User Custom Attributes
