You can set up notifications to alert users to specific events in Jamf Security Cloud under Settings > Notifications > Service.

Service notifications can only be applied at the global Base Policy level; that is, they cannot be configured at the group level.
Note:

You can click Manage Recipients to specify which administrators will receive admin and user notifications, and to add custom email recipients other than administrators. You can also send a copy of user notifications to administrators by checking the user option.

Service Management – Admin Notifications

The Admin notification options include service-related notifications:

  • Identity providers activity —

When IdP connection approved by Microsoft Entra admin is selected, the Jamf Security Cloud administrator receives an alert when the Microsoft Entra administrator approves the IdP connection, and the connection is ready to use.

  • UEM sync activity —When Jamf Security Cloud's UEM Connect cannot sync with a linked UEM solution, Jamf Security Cloud can send an email to the administrator alerting them of the sync failure. By default, sync failure notifications are enabled and set to notify administrators after three consecutive failures. Administrators can configure the failure threshold to any value between 1 and 100, or disable the notifications completely.

Administrator notifications are sent to the selected recipients via email.

Security Notifications

You can configure security notifications in Jamf Security Cloud under Policies > Security > Threat prevention policy. For more information, see Threat Prevention Policy in the Jamf Protect Documentation.
