If your devices are not managed by an MDM, you must pause your cloud proxy activation profiles to prevent new enrollments and create a new activation profile using a different traffic vectoring method. Then your users must delete the Jamf Trust application and re-enroll their device with a new activation profile.

Requirements
  • iOS or iPadOS devices not enrolled with an MDM solution

  • Devices enrolled with Jamf Security Cloud using the cloud proxy traffic vectoring method

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, go to Devices > Activation profiles, and select the checkbox for your cloud proxy-based configuration profiles.
  2. Click Pause.
  3. Click Create profile.
  4. Create an activation profile that includes one or more of the following service capabilities, depending on your use cases:
    • Network access
    • Network security
    • Content controls
Note:For unsupervised devices, Secure DNS is the default traffic vectoring method. For supervised devices, the default is Secure DNS + On-device.

For more information about creating a new activation profile, see Creating an Activation Profile using Jamf Security Cloud.

  5. Instruct users to either delete the Jamf Trust application from their devices manually or go to reset.wandera.com on their device and follow the instructions on that page.
  6. Distribute the new activation profile to your users using a shareable link or QR code. For more information, see Distributing the Jamf Trust App Using a Shareable Link.
