Organization units (OUs) are flexible organizational structures that enable configuring Jamf Security Cloud policies at different levels of your organization's hierarchy. A super admin can also define whether admins have access to one, multiple, or all leaf OUs. Only admins with access to all OUs can set policies that apply across your whole organization hierarchy. OUs also allow Jamf Security Cloud to:
- Manage devices across multiple countries
- When deploying Jamf Security Cloud across different countries, Jamf recommends deploying all devices into multiple OUs, with at least one OU per country . You can configure policies at the root level that apply across all the devices globally on the leaf OU levels.
- Create a sub level OU per location or department
- This allows for flexible management and policies across your organization, where each leaf OU can have its own administrators assigned to it.
