The Enable vulnerability management checkbox automatically enables Jamf Security Cloud's vulnerability management capabilities on devices in a specific Jamf Pro smart group containing macOS, iOS, or iPadOS devices.
This allows you to quickly create device records and obtain vulnerability data without deploying an agent, configuration profile, or gateway to devices. When enabled, you choose a source UEM group (e.g., smart group) from Jamf Pro. Jamf Security Cloud automatically creates and assigns a new default activation profile with only the vulnerability management capability enabled to the devices in the target UEM group. Using the device app inventory and OS version, Jamf Security Cloud evaluates devices for vulnerabilities and assigns a risk score.
For more information about vulnerability management, see Vulnerability Management Report.
Jamf Security Cloud is only being utilized for Mac computers or iOS and iPadOS devices.
Other Jamf Security Cloud capabilities (e.g., network access, network security, content controls) and the Jamf Trust app are not needed or may conflict with other security solutions used by your organization.
