To activate Jamf Trust for macOS, the app must be open, which can be done via an end user opening the app or with a script that can open the app with specific triggers.

Requirements

Access to Jamf Pro and familiarity with policies. For more information, see Policy Management.

  1. In Jamf Pro, click Computers in the sidebar.
  2. Click Policies in the sidebar.
  3. Click New .
  4. In General, set the Trigger to Login.
  5. In Files and Processes under Execute Command, enter the following: open "com.jamf.trust://?action=open"

    This open URL scheme provides a visual cue when Jamf Trust opens.

  6. Scope the policy to the relevant devices.
  7. Click Save .

Jamf Trust for macOS will now open automatically via the policy when a user on a target device logs in.
