Once you have pushed the Jamf Trust app to your iOS and iPadOS devices via Microsoft Intune, you can create a UEM configuration profile to push a traffic vectoring profile to these devices.

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Devices > Activation Profiles.
  2. Select the required Activation Profile.
  3. In the Managed Deployment area, select Microsoft Endpoint Management.
  4. Download the required UEM configuration file for iOS and iPadOS devices.
    Note:

    There are two configuration files for iOS and iPadOS devices: one for supervised devices, and one for unsupervised. Select the one that applies to your devices. If you have both supervised and unsupervised devices, run through this process twice to create configuration profiles for both types.

  5. Log in to Microsoft Intune.
  6. Navigate to Devices > iOS/iPadOS > Configuration Profiles.
  7. Click Create Profile.
  8. In the panel that appears, select Templates under Profile type.
  9. Select Custom, then click Create.
  10. In the Name field, enter a descriptive title for the configuration.

    Ideally the name should match that of the corresponding Activation Profile. Also, Jamf recommends that you add the suffix "supervised" or "unsupervised", depending on the type of configuration profile you are setting up.

  11. Enter a description with more details for other administrators.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Enter a Configuration Profile Name.
    Note:

    Jamf suggests using the name or code of the Activation Profile.

  14. Click Select a file, then navigate to the configuration profile you downloaded from Jamf Security Cloud.
    Note:

    If you downloaded both configuration files for supervised and unsupervised devices, ensure that you pick the correct one

  15. Assign the configuration profile to groups of users or devices.
    Note:

    Jamf recommends that you start with a group of test devices, then move on to deploy to other devices once you are sure the process is working correctly.

  16. Ensure that the configuration is correct before processing.
  17. Click Create to create and deploy the configuration profile.
  18. Define the Scope Tags as required by your Endpoint Manager RBAC practices.
  19. If you have a mixed fleet of supervised and unsupervised devices, repeat this process for the other profile type.
