Custom configuration items can configure settings for Windows computers that are managed by Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Adding a configuration item for Jamf Trust lets Windows monitor the version of the Jamf Trust application for any update notifications.
Requirements
A configured Jamf Trust app in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Open the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager console.
- Navigate to Assets and Compliance.
- Under Compliance Settings, click Configuration Items.
- In the Create section, click Create Configuration Item.
- Specify a name and description for your configuration item.
- In the Specify the type of configuration item that you want to create field, select Windows Desktops and Servers (custom).
- On the Settings page, click New.
- In the Setting type field, select File system. The file path for Jamf Trust by default is: %ProgramFiles%\JamfTrust\Service\JamfTrust.Client.Windows.Service.exe.
- Click OK.
- Click Create Setting.
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager can now detect the version of Jamf Trust on computers.
