You can configure and distribute the Jamf Trust app to iOS and iPadOS devices using Jamf Pro. Once configured, you can deploy the app to supervised, unsupervised, and user enrolled devices.
Important:

If you have Shared iPads in your environment, do not install the Jamf Trust app on these devices. You only need to distribute an activation profile to enable portal capabilities. For more information about Shared iPads, see Shared iPad overview from Apple Platform Deployment.

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, go to Devices > Activation Profiles.
  2. Select the desired Activation Profile.
  3. In the Managed Deployment area, select Jamf Pro.
  4. Download the App configuration file for iOS and iPadOS devices.
  5. Log in to Jamf Pro, then select Devices > Mobile Device Apps.
  6. Click New.
  7. Select App Store app or apps purchased in volume, and select your App Store Country or Region from the pop-up menu.
  8. Click Next.
  9. In the Search field, enter Jamf Trust.
  10. Click Next to search for the app.
  11. Locate the Jamf Trust app in the search results, and then click Add.
  12. Click App Configuration, then copy and paste the code from the App Configuration file downloaded previously.
  13. Click Save.
  14. Click the app, then select the Scope tab.
  15. Use the Targets function to define which mobile devices, mobile device groups, users, user groups, buildings and departments should receive the app push installation request.
  16. Define any Limitations and Exclusions to ensure that only devices that are configured in Jamf Security Cloud will receive the app.
  17. (Optional) Click the Managed Distribution tab and navigate to the Volume Content section.
  18. (Optional) Enable Assign Content Purchased in Volume to prevent users from receiving unexpected Apple Account login prompts.
  19. Click Save .

The Jamf Trust app is now deployed to your iOS or iPadOS devices via Jamf Pro.
