Requirements

Locate the app configuration file for iOS and iPadOS devices for Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (Ivanti EPMM) (formerly known as MobileIron Core):

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Devices > Activation Profiles.

  2. From the list of Activation Profiles, select the one you want to use for your devices. The details of the profile are displayed.

  3. Select Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile from the list of UEM services.

  4. Click iOS / iPadOS Managed App Configuration

  5. Click Show App Configuration.

  6. Copy and paste the configuration code into a file, and save it to a suitable location.
    Important:

    If you have Shared iPads in your environment, do not install the Jamf Trust app on these devices. You only need to distribute an activation profile to enable portal capabilities. For more information about Shared iPads, see Shared iPad overview from Apple Platform Deployment.

  1. Log in to the Ivanti EPMM admin console.
  2. Navigate to Apps > App Catalog, then click Add+.
  3. Select iTunes and search for Jamf Trust app (or the Wandera app for legacy Activation Profiles).
  4. Select the app, then click Next.
  5. On the Describe page, click Next.
  6. On the following page, check the Allow the app to be converted from unmanaged to managed field.
  7. Under Managed App Settings, select all the checkboxes, then click Finish.
  8. Check the box next to the app.
  9. Click Actions, then select Apply to Label.
  10. Select one or more labels to deploy the application to, then click Apply.
  11. Click Policies & Configs.
  12. Select Add New > Apple > iOS & tvOS > Managed App Config.
  13. Enter a Name for the configuration.
  14. Set the Bundle ID to com.jamf.trust (or com.wandera.wandera for legacy Activation Profiles).
  15. Upload the configuration file previously obtained from Jamf Security Cloud.
  16. Select the newly created application configuration and apply it to the same label or labels you assigned the app to.
