Requirements

Download the app configuration file for iOS and iPadOS devices for Microsoft Intune:

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Devices > Activation Profiles.

  2. From the list of Activation Profiles, select the one you want to use for your devices. The details of the profile are displayed.

  3. Select Microsoft Intune from the list of UEM solutions, then click to download the app configuration file for iOS and iPadOS devices.
    Important:

    If you have Shared iPads in your environment, do not install the Jamf Trust app on these devices. You only need to distribute an activation profile to enable portal capabilities. For more information about Shared iPads, see Shared iPad overview from Apple Platform Deployment.

  1. Log in to the Microsoft Intune admin console.
  2. Select Apps > All Apps.
  3. Select the type iOS App Store, then ensure the store is set to the correct region.
  4. Search for and select "Jamf Trust" for iOS and iPadOS devices.
  5. Check and confirm the information in the Add App pane is as expected.
  6. Click Next to display the Scope Tags page.
  7. Click Select Scope Tags to add scope tags for the app.
  8. Click Next.
  9. On the Assignment page, assign the application to the target devices.

    Jamf recommends setting Install as Removable to "No", to prevent device users manually deleting the app.

  10. Click Next to display the Review and Create page.
  11. Review the values and settings that you entered for the app, then click Create.
  12. Return to the Microsoft Intune admin console, then select Apps > App Configuration Policies.
  13. Click Add > Managed Devices.
  14. Enter a name, for example, "Jamf Trust iOS App Configuration", then select the iOS/iPadOS platform.
  15. Under Targeted App, select "Jamf Trust", then click Next.
  16. Under Configuration Settings Format, select Enter XML data.
  17. Open the app configuration file downloaded previously, and copy/paste the content of the file into the App Configuration field.
  18. Click Next to display the Assignments page.
  19. Using the drop-down field, assign the app configuration to the target devices that you previously deployed the app to.
  20. Click Next to display the Review and Create page.
  21. Click Create to deploy the app configuration to the target devices.
