You can change the group membership for up to 100 devices at once using CSV files.

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Devices > Manage.
  2. Click More actions.
  3. Choose Bulk operations (add/update/delete) from the menu.
  4. Select Update group.
  5. Click Download Sample CSV for group update here to download a template CSV file.
  6. In the CSV file, replace the sample data with your device data and save your changes.
    1. Enter the device GUIDs in the guid column. To find this information see the device Details or a CSV device export.
    2. Enter the name of the group where you want to move each device in the group column.

The file must have headers and can contain a maximum of 100 rows (excess rows will be ignored).

  7. In Jamf Security Cloud, click Drop CSV file here to upload your CSV file, and then click Next.
  8. Review the list of devices.
  9. (Optional) If there are warnings or errors, marked with orange or red exclamation icons, hover your cursor over the icon for a description of the problem. Edit the fields directly on this page to fix the problems, then click Re-validate changes to validate the new data.
  10. When all of the values are correct, click Save and finish.
