By default, the Use Apple native block page checkbox is enabled. When using the Apple native block page, block pages are rendered locally without TLS decryption, and you have the option to allow or block iCloud Private Relay.
If Use Apple native block page is disabled, all users will be shown the customizable block page and Apple iCloud Private Relay will be blocked.
When enabled, one of the following messages will display on the Apple native block page, determined by the traffic vectoring method blocking the content.
- "Safari can't open the page "www.example.com" because it was blocked by (null)."
- Message appears on iOS and iPadOS devices when content is blocked by ZTNA.
- "Safari can't open the page "www.example.com" because it was blocked by [SSID of the Wi-Fi network]."
- Message may appear when content is blocked by DNS+ or on MacOS devices when content is blocked by ZTNA.
- "Safari can't open the page "www.example.com" because it was blocked by [ethernet string]."
- Message may appear when content is blocked by DNS+ or on MacOS devices when content is blocked by ZTNA.
- "Safari can't open the page "www.example.com" because it was blocked by [carrier name]."
- Message may appear when content is blocked by DNS+.
- "Safari can't open the page "www.example.com" because it was blocked by "DNS settings"."
- Message appears when content is blocked by DNS over HTTPS
