When you make changes to configuration profile payloads and settings, the following situations may occur when applying the updated profile to a device:
- An updated profile is pushed to the device immediately and a pending status message displays if it is not received by the device.
- The device is pinged to update the profile and responds to receive the update.
- After a long disconnection period, the device checks in and receives the updated profile.
