Requirements
  • A teacher user group

  • One or more student user groups

  • One or more teacher users with login credentials assigned to the teacher user group

  • One or more student users with login credentials assigned to a student user group
    Note:

    If you do not want to sign in with a student user account, you can enable guest mode by navigating to Organization > Settings > Jamf School Student and clicking Allow the app to be used on devices without a permanent owner. Jamf School Student is now set to guest mode. This allows guest access to the library for users to download apps, books, and documents.

  • Jamf Teacher installed automatically on teacher devices that you want to install the app on. For more information, see Jamf Teacher Integration with Jamf School.

  • Jamf School Student installed automatically on student devices that you want to install the app on. For more information, see Jamf School Student Integration with Jamf School.

  • The app you want to distribute added to Jamf School. For more information, see Apps Purchased in Volume.

  1. In Jamf School, navigate to Apps > Inventory in the sidebar.
  2. Click the app you want to distribute.
  3. Click the + icon to edit the scope of the app and then select the device group you want to distribute the app to.
  4. Ensure that Change to on-demand installation is selected from the Install Type pop-up menu.
  5. Click Save.
The app displays in Jamf Teacher or Jamf School Student in My Resources > Apps.
