Enrollment Experience for Personally Owned Devices

When a user accesses the enrollment URL from their mobile device or computer using Safari, they are guided through a series of steps to enroll the device.

1. The user enters the network ID in the Network ID field.

   Note:

   The network ID is listed in Devices > Enroll Device(s) > On-device enrollment (iOS & macOS) in Jamf School.

2. The user enters their Managed Apple ID in the Managed Apple ID field.

3. The user enters the location code in the Location Code field.

   Note:

   The location code is listed in Devices > Enroll Device(s) > On-device enrollment (iOS & macOS) in Jamf School.

4. The user clicks or taps Enroll.

5. The user does one of the following:

   • For mobile device management:

     1. When prompted to download the configuration profile, the user taps Allow and then taps Close after being notified that the profile was downloaded.

     2. The user navigates to Settings or System Settings > Profiles, and taps Enroll in Jamf School Instance or taps Enroll below the user profile.

     3. The user taps Enroll My iPad or Enroll My iPhone to continue.

   • For computer enrollment:

     1. The user navigates to System Settings > Profiles and clicks Enroll below the user profile.

     2. When prompted, the user enters their keychain password and clicks Enroll.

6. The user taps Continue to proceed to the Managed Apple ID sign in page. The user is then prompted to enter the password for their Managed Apple ID.

   Note:

   If enrolling a computer, the user may be prompted to verify their identity by entering a verification code.

7. The device is enrolled and a success message is displayed.
