Jamf School automatically sends a remote management command to enable declarative device management on the device during the following events:
Enrollment with Jamf School for newly enrolled devices
During the next device check-in for existing devices that are eligible for declarative device management
Computers with macOS 13 or later
Devices with iOS 16.1 or iPadOS 16.1 or later
Apple TV devices with tvOS 16 or later
To enable declarative device management on devices, make sure you are using Jamf School 11.1.0 or later, and then enroll new devices or allow existing devices to check in with Jamf School. Declarative device management is supported for all enrollment types.
When declarative device management is enabled, devices automatically report state changes for subscribed status items to Jamf School via the status channel. To identify devices with declarative device management enabled, view an individual device's inventory information.
