Distributing the Company Portal App to Mac Computers

Now that you have uploaded the Company Portal app to Jamf School, you must distribute it to your users' computers.

  1. In Jamf School, navigate to Apps > Inventory in the sidebar.
  2. Select the checkbox next to the Company Portal app.
  3. Click Edit Scope.
  4. In the Scope field, enter one or more device groups that you want to distribute the Company Portal app to.
  5. From the Install Type pop-up menu, choose "Automatic installation".
  6. From the Volume Assignment Method pop-up menu, choose an assignment method. Because the Company Portal app is an in-house package and does not require license assignments, it does not matter which option you choose for this setting.
  7. Click Save.
    Note:

    You can also distribute the Company Portal app to computers by navigating to Devices > Device Groups in the sidebar, clicking the name of the device group you want to distribute the app to, clicking Apps in the list on the left side of the pane, and clicking + Add.

The Company Portal app is available on computers the next time they check in to Jamf School.
