The .mobileconfig configuration profiles are used to automate the setup of Safe Internet on devices. The settings applied are enforced on supervised devices. This prevents students from disabling these settings on their devices.
Complete these steps for both iOS and macOS devices, depending on the devices in your educational institution.
Important:
For unsupervised devices or supervised iOS and iPadOS devices earlier than 16, you must download the configuration profile from Safe Internet. Open Safe Internet, navigate to , choose your activation profile, select Jamf School, then download the iOS and iPadOS unsupervised (or supervised earlier than 16) UEM configuration profile.
- In Jamf School, navigate to in the sidebar.
- Click +Create Profile.
- Click the platform for which you want to make the profile.
- Select Device Enrollment and then click Next.
- Enter a Profile name, for example,
Safe Internet for iOS profile
, and then click Next. - Click Finish.
- Navigate to the Safe Internet payload within the profile, and then click Configure. If you do not see the Safe Internet payload, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Safe Internet module.
- The default Safe Internet base content policy is automatically selected in the Active Policy pop-up menu. Click Save to save your new Safe Internet payload.
- Navigate to the Scope payload within the Safe Internet profile.
- Click the + icon, and select the device groups to which you want to distribute the profile.
- Click Save.
The Jamf Safe Internet profile is now applied to target devices which includes the content filtering and network protections settings.
