Requirements

To configure Jamf School Student, you need:

  • Student devices with iPadOS 8 or later

  • One or more student user accounts with login credentials assigned to a student user group (For more information, see User Accounts.)
    Note:

    If you do not want to sign in with a student user account and are not distributing books purchased in volume, you can enable guest mode by navigating to Organization > Settings > Jamf School Student in the sidebar and clicking Allow the app to be used on devices without a permanent owner. Jamf School Student is now set to guest mode. This allows guest access to the library for users to download apps, books, and documents.

  1. In Jamf School, navigate to Organization > Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Click the Jamf School Student payload to configure management settings in the Features section.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click the Jamf School Teacher payload to configure settings and management capabilities.
  5. Click Save.
