Unused and retired devices remain in Jamf School when they are not correctly unenrolled. Maintaining an up-to-date device inventory ensures that your organization does not pay for devices that are no longer in service. Jamf recommends searching for unused devices and completing the unenrollment process prior to renewing your Jamf School contract.
There are multiple ways to locate old devices. If your organization deprecated certain models, you can locate them by model type. You can also search for inactive devices that have not checked in with Jamf School during a specified time period.
If you locate an inactive device that is still in use, check the network connection or refresh the device. For more information, see Inactive Device Status.
The devices are removed from Jamf School and no longer display on the page.
