Automated Device Enrollment profiles are normally installed during Setup Assistant.
Requirements
In order for previously used mobile devices to go through Automated Device Enrollment, assign an Automated Device Enrollment profile to the devices, then erase all content and settings on your devices before going through Setup Assistant.
In order for previously used Mac computers to go through Automated Device Enrollment, Jamf recommends erasing all content and settings and reinstalling macOS before going through Setup Assistant. For more information, see the following articles from Apple's support website:
In order for Apple TV devices to be successfully enrolled, devices must be connected via Ethernet during Automated Device Enrollment and Setup Assistant.
- In Jamf School, navigate to in the sidebar.
- Select the checkbox next to each device you want to assign an Automated Device Enrollment profile to.
- Click Assign profile in the upper right.
- In the pop-up dialog, choose the Automated Device Enrollment profile you want to assign to the selected devices.
- Click Assign.
