Activation Lock is a feature that protects devices by linking a user's personal Apple Account to a device. If a device is wiped or restored, the user's personal Apple Account and password are required to unlock the device. When a school deploys supervised devices with Jamf School and an employee or student leaves without removing their personal Apple Account, Jamf School can provide an Activation Lock bypass code to unlock the device. This allows the school to set up the device for a new user.
