Getting Started with Jamf Safe Internet in Jamf School - Jamf Safe Internet Documentation

Jamf School has a built-in integration with Jamf Safe Internet for a simplified deployment.

Complete the following quick start steps to set up Jamf Safe Internet with Jamf School for supervised devices:

1. Integrate Jamf Safe Internet with Jamf School

   The Safe Internet module connects Jamf Safe Internet with your Jamf School instance, so that you can deploy Safe Internet to your devices without leaving Jamf School.

2. Deploy the configuration profile and Jamf Trust app (iOS and iPadOS only) to devices

   Safe Internet uses a pre-configured Activation Profile with a Name and Device group to enroll devices into Safe Internet using a downloadable configuration profile. For Jamf School, the pre-configured Activation Profile is automatically applied as part of the deployment.

   The Safe Internet default rule, which blocks all content that is non-compliant with regional child internet safety regulations, is automatically applied to your web protection policy as a base policy at deployment.

   The .mobileconfig configuration profiles are used to automate the setup of Safe Internet on devices. The settings applied are enforced on supervised devices. This prevents students from disabling these settings on their devices.

   The Jamf Trust app is an intermediary between the student device and Safe Internet. After Jamf Trust is deployed to the student device, there is nothing else you need to do and no student interaction is required.

3. Configure UEM Connect to sync device inventory information and groups between Safe Internet and Jamf School

4. Test the Safe Internet deployment

5. View initial reports about device activity in the Safe Internet portal

6. (Optional) Configure your Safe Internet web protection policy
