Safe Internet uses a pre-configured Activation Profile with a Name and Device group to deploy devices using a downloadable configuration profile.

The step-by-step instructions for Jamf Pro are linked in the Activation Profile's Deployment > Managed Deployment section. Download the relevant configuration files and complete the Jamf Pro instructions.

Both supervised and unsupervised iOS, iPadOS and macOS devices are supported for the UEM configuration profile.
Important:

If you have Shared iPads in your environment, do not install the Jamf Trust app on these devices. You only need to distribute an activation profile to enable portal capabilities. For more information about Shared iPads, see Shared iPad overview from Apple Platform Deployment.

Managed Deployment

After testing your deployment on a small number of devices, you can deploy to a larger number of managed devices.

If you've successfully tested your deployment to devices on different platforms and need assistance deploying Jamf Safe Internet to a larger number of devices, contact Jamf Support.

Deploying Jamf Safe Internet to devices in your school involves these steps:

  1. Create a configuration profile for macOS devices in Jamf Pro.

  2. Create a configuration profile for iOS and iPadOS devices in Jamf Pro.

  3. Configure Jamf Trust for iOS and iPadOS in Jamf Pro.
