Password Vault configurations determine how usernames and passwords are managed for different applications.

Applications with Mapped Username and Password Attributes
  • Administrators can review app configuration in the Applications Module
  • Attributes can be checked for users reporting issues
  • No actions can be taken from the Password Vault for this configuration
Applications with Mapped Username and User-Provided Password
  • Username appears in a greyed out field and cannot be changed in the vault
  • Password status shows as either:
    • "Not Captured" - User hasn't successfully launched the application
    • "Captured" - Password has been saved but isn't visible to administrators
  • Resetting credentials only clears the password field
Applications with User-Provided Username and Password
  • Administrators can modify the username field if necessary
  • Password status shows as "Captured" when stored but remains invisible to administrators
  • Resetting credentials removes both username and password values
Note:Resetting the credentials for an application is a permanent action that cannot be undone. The User will see a warning message confirming that this action should be taken, and once confirmed the credentials are permanently deleted. They are not able to be retrieved from the database at that point.
