You can configure QR code authentication to contain either the username or the username and password. QR Login allows the user to authenticate without entering a username and password. QR Username allows the user to start the authentication process without entering a username, but they must still authenticate with an additional method. QR codes should not be left unattended.

In the example below, the user authenticates with QR Login:
  1. The user accesses the RapidIdentity login page using the link provided by their district. Each login page is customized for the educational organization.

  2. The user clicks Scan QR Code.

  3. The user scans the QR code with their mobile device or the camera on their computer. When scanning the code with a mobile device, the user can use the drop-down menu to choose between the front camera or the back camera.

The user is authenticated to the RapidIdentity portal.
