You can configure QR code authentication to contain either the username or the username and password. QR Login allows the user to authenticate without entering a username and password. QR Username allows the user to start the authentication process without entering a username, but they must still authenticate with an additional method. QR codes should not be left unattended.
In the example below, the user authenticates with QR Login:
The user accesses the RapidIdentity login page using the link provided by their district. Each login page is customized for the educational organization.
- The user clicks Scan QR Code.
- The user scans the QR code with their mobile device or the camera on their computer. When scanning the code with a mobile device, the user can use the drop-down menu to choose between the front camera or the back camera.
The user is authenticated to the RapidIdentity portal.
