You can configure RapidIdentity to be the identity provider (IdP) for Microsoft Entra ID, which supports two ways to authenticate to a third-party IdP: SAML and WS-Fed.
SAML is the preferred authentication protocol recommended by Microsoft, while WS-Fed is an older option for legacy applications that authenticate via Active Directory Federation Services. While both methods are compatible with RapidIdentity, Jamf recommends using WS-Fed for applications that do not support a web-based sign in. Additionally, Entra ID only allows for a single identity provider federation at the domain level which limits administrators to designating one IdP for all federated logins.
