Requirements
  • RapidIdentity Cloud version 2021.7.27 or later
  • A domain-joined Windows 11 computer
  • User identities in both the RapidIdentity user store and Active Directory, with synced passwords
  • An API key assigned to the Authentication API Consumer role for the appropriate service identity
  • Local administrator credentials on the device
  1. Download the RapidIdentity Client for Windows installer.
    Right-click RapidIdentity Client for Windows, select Save As, and then choose a location in which to save the client.
  2. Launch the installer, and then click Next to begin.
  3. Configure the installation settings.
    1. Enter your domain name in the Domain field.
      Accounts authenticate to this domain. For non-domain-joined installations, enter (.) to use a local account. For domain-joined installations, enter the NetBIOS domain name.
    2. Enter your RapidIdentity Cloud tenant URL in the Server URL field.
      The server URL must begin with https://.
    3. Enter your Service Identity API key in the API Key field.
    4. Click Next.
  4. Select the installation folder and click Next.
  5. Click Install on the Ready to Install window.
  6. If prompted, click Yes to allow the installer to make changes to the device.
  7. After the installation completes, click Finish to exit the setup wizard.
