  1. Access the Credentials section:
    1. If not already selected, select your created project.
    2. Click on the menu button at the top left of the page and select APIs & Services.
    3. Select Credentials.
  2. Create the service account:
    1. Click CREATE CREDENTIALS.
    2. Select Service Accounts.
    3. Give the service account a name, and account ID.
      The description is optional.
    4. Click CREATE.
  3. Configure account settings:
    1. Skip the Grant this service account access to project section.
    2. Skip the Grant users access to this service account section.
      By default, the user that creates the service account will be the only one that has access to this service account.
    3. Click DONE.
  4. Generate the service account key:
    1. If not redirected, select the menu button in the top left of the page, select APIs & Services, and then select Credentials.
    2. Click the pencil icon next to the service account that was created above.
    3. Scroll to the Keys section and click ADD Key, then select Create new key.
    4. Select JSON in the popup window.
    5. Click CREATE.
    6. Save the JSON file and store in a secure area.
