Configuring SAML-Based SSO with Skyward Qmlativ

Skyward Qmlativ supports a SAML-based single sign-on (SSO) service for its web-based application that you can configure in your RapidIdentity portal. These configuration settings are an example and may vary for individual configurations.

Requirements
  • Skyward Super User access
  • Access to your RapidIdentity administrator portal
  1. In Skyward, navigate to Authentication Method List > Authentication Method Details.
  2. Set the metadata URL to https://your_base_url/idp/profile/Metadata/SAML.
  3. Set the NameID Format to match your RapidIdentity settings.
  4. Access and save the Skyward metadata for later use.
  5. Navigate to your RapidIdentity administrator portal.
  6. From the module selector, choose Configuration.
  7. Select Security > Identity Providers > Federation Partners.
  8. Click Add Federation Partner > SAML 2.0, then click Create SAML Relying Party.
  9. In the General section, set the following:
    1. Name: A name for the SAML SSO
    2. Description: A description for the SAML SSO
    3. Metadata: Paste the previously saved Skyward metadata.
    Important:

    Remove the last / from the AssertionConsumerService Location URL.

  10. In the SSO Settings section, set the options to either Conditional or Never depending on your requirements.
  11. In the Attribute Mapping section, click Add New Attribute + and create a new Name ID attribute as required by your Skyward configuration.
  12. Click Create, then click Save.

RapidIdentity and Skyward Qmlativ are now integrated, allowing users to authenticate to Skyward with their RapidIdentity credentials.
