Administrators can configure a Password Vault as a Single Sign-On (SSO) option when creating an application. After providing the application details, configure the Password Vault settings in the SSO tab by selecting Password Vault from the Type pop-up menu.
- Username Format Configuration
- Use the Username Format pop-up menu to specify the format. When selecting
Domain\usernameorDomain/username, enter the appropriate domain in the designated field. This domain becomes part of the username credential for the application. - Username Source Selection
- Select the source attribute for username credentials from the available options in the pop-up menu.
- Password Credential Configuration
- Use the final pop-up menu to specify the attribute for password credentials in the application.
Note:The following Global Address List (GAL) attributes are available for username configuration:
idautoPersonSAMAccountName- AD UsernameidautoPersonUserNameMV- UsernamesidautoPersonStateID- State ID
Warning:Avoid selecting the Usernames/idautoPersonUserNameMV attribute for username configuration if your district populates multiple values in this field. Using the AD Username or Email attribute ensures successful login by providing a specific value for the Password Vault.
After configuring all fields, click Save. Administrators can later view and modify these settings through the application details.

Keep the following in mind:
- Websites with CAPTCHA authentication require user interaction with the CAPTCHA element
- NTLM authentication websites support credential passing but cannot capture user-provided credentials
- Multi-page login forms are not supported
- Login forms with more than two input fields (beyond username and password) are not supported
- Credential updates fail if the webpage closes immediately after login
