You can configure file share settings and role-based or attribute-based access in your RapidIdentity portal.
- Log in to your RapidIdentity administrator portal.
- In the Dashboard pop-up menu, click Files.
- In the bottom-left corner, click .
- In the upper-left corner, click ADD FILE SHARE.
- In the NAME field, enter a name for the file share.
- In the STATUS menu, select ACTIVE.
- In the SHARE TYPE menu, select Windows Share.
- In the UNC PATH OR BASE URL field, enter the full DNS name of the file server, Active Directory domain, or DFS namespace.
- In the USERNAME OR ACCESS KEY field, enter the username used to authenticate to the host server.
- In the PASSWORD OR SECRET KEY field, enter the password used to authenticate to the host server.
- In the ACCESS CONTROLS menu, configure access controls.
- If you select Role-based, enter INCLUDED ROLES and EXCLUDED ROLES.
- If you select Attribute-based, enter LDAP attributes in the Attribute ACL field to define which users are granted access to or excluded from the file share.
- Click Save.
Windows file shares are enabled with Identity Bridge protection.
